Rick Owens SS23 EDFU runway jumbo peter flight in lacquered 18oz denim strips

This jumbo peter flight is below hip length with a jumbo oversized fit. it has a centre front zipper, top snap detail, long sleeves and low shoulders with a dropped armhole and level shoulder seams. it has two side seam pockets with visible snaps and a ribbed collar, cuffs and hem. It is fully lined and has two internal zipped pockets.

This 18oz japanese selvedge denim had as slub texture and a water-based glossy lacquered finish. the denim is cut into strips and then sewn onto the base material off the grain which creates the intended fraying. 

The natural aspects of this fabric means the lacquered finish has peeled off in certain areas, exposing the underlying material and will continue to do so with wear and abrasion. this is an inherent characteristic of this type of treatment and is a desired a visual aspect which adds to the uniqueness of each piece and should not be considered a defect.
