Rick Owens FW23 LUXOR prong gown in brown cracked stretch denim.

This prong gown is floor length at front. it features a strapless structured bodice with a boned geometric cutout front and folded bust detail. it has a tight fitting skirt which tapers slightly to the ankle with a high centre back split, and exposed zipper closure.

This lightweight stretch denim has a soft, matte film overlay. after the denim base is over dyed and coated with a dark glue, the film is applied by heat press and tumbled to create the soft hand feel and cracked effect. 

Since the film is applied directly on the ready garment, seams and details make the application irregular, exposing the underlying denim in certain areas. this is an inherent characteristic of this type of treatment and is a desired visual aspect which makes each piece unique
